When the seasons change, it’s a great opportunity to review your wardrobe. And after my recent workshop on “How To Work Your Wardrobe” as part of National Organising Week, I discussed the many ways in which you can save time and money with your wardrobe. It’s that “Back to School” time of year again already! It’s time to drag out those summer uniforms, purchase the school stationary and get your head back into routine mode……..which sparks me to ask: How organised are you with your kids school paperwork and art? What do you do with their reports, certificates, photos and yearbooks? How about their creative writing work? Does it get shoved into a box or cupboard, in the hope that you might deal with it one day? If this sounds like you, this blog post is for you! If you don’t have a place and more importantly a SYSTEM for these items, they will build up and potentially be forgotten or even lost.
Christmas always comes at the same time of year but why does it always seem to sneak up on us? Spring has sprung!! And I couldn’t be happier. I’m loving that “Spring” feeling when change is in the air, the birds are singing, the days are longer and summer is on it’s way. And yes, you guessed it – a BRILLIANT time to declutter now that winter is behind us at last. (more…)
Do you cover every available surface in your home with stuff? Have your surfaces become a dumping ground for items that either don’t have a home or you couldn’t be bothered to put away? The clutter on surfaces tends to build up over time – it often starts when we come home after a busy day, and it’s easier just to chuck items down and deal with them later.
