Are you feeling overwhelmed with the clutter that is piling up throughout your home? Little piles that turn into bigger piles until it all seems too much? Most clutter happens when we put something down because we don’t feel like dealing with it at that moment. It can be called “Lazy Clutter.” When you do that, you end up spending twice as much time dealing with it because you still have to go back to it later. I have come to the conclusion that if we all adopt this one simple step, we will have a clutter free home forever. It’s not rocket science, either. It’s just a habit to get into and once you start doing it, it will become second nature to you. I frequently get asked about first aid kits and the best way to store items. The busy families I work with often have a lot of first aid stuff, which has built up over time. Time and time again I have found the best and bulletproof way to store items, is to separate them into clear plastic containers with a lid. Sistema is a NZ brand that I enjoy using and are available at Storage Box,The Warehouse and even your local supermarket. Before buying the containers, firstly check the expiry dates of your medicines and access whether or not the items are still current, needed and in working order. Kids rooms need decluttering on a regular basis…… children are constantly growing and changing along with their needs and wants. Toys, games, clothes and everything else they accumulate on the way can build up very quickly (sound familiar?!) so kids spaces are an area than often needs attention. I love organising kids spaces – I find it really rewarding and so do they!
Most of us do not have time to spend hours organising our stuff – we all lead such busy lives these days and trying to juggle everything can be very over whelming at times!
