It’s that “Back to School” time of year again already! It’s time to drag out those summer uniforms, purchase the school stationary and get your head back into routine mode……..which sparks me to ask: How organised are you with your kids school paperwork and art? What do you do with their reports, certificates, photos and yearbooks? How about their creative writing work? Does it get shoved into a box or cupboard, in the hope that you might deal with it one day? If this sounds like you, this blog post is for you! If you don’t have a place and more importantly a SYSTEM for these items, they will build up and potentially be forgotten or even lost.
I love that feeling of being organised and getting things done – my days run smoother and I generally feel happier! I am in control of my day rather than my day being in control of me. There are many things you can do to be more organised, but I have picked out my 10 favourites. Often it’s the little things that can get out of control – it’s amazing how many takeaway menus come through the front door every week isn’t it? And where to put them? Usually in the junk drawer or more likely, into the bin as you have not created a place to put them. Being a bit of a takeaway fiend, I have looked into ways to store those takeaway menus (only the ones you love) and this is what I came up with…..
You can have SO much fun with clipboards – I have been using them pretty much all my life for various reasons and never tire of their uses. They can be hung in a variety of places and be used for different purposes. I really like the way that you can change what you clip onto them, in any room at any time really quickly, which changes the look of the room almost instantly. They are a great way to get organised too.
